The UK to increase national living wage in 2020

By national living wage is meant minimum wage payable to adults above 25 years of age. Current minimum wage is £8.21. To be increased by 50p to £8.72 from April 1, 2020. Rates from April will be anational living wage for 25 and above: £8.72; national minimum wage for ages 21 to 24: £8.20; for 18 to 20 years old: £6.45; under 18s: £4.55; & apprentices: £4.15.
